Yamla Pagla Deewana soundtrack RIP OFF

Ok so I have been loving the new promos for the movie YPD and I'm super excited to see Dharmendra on screen after Apne. Also like everyone else on the planet I love the title track that is in the promos, the original Yamla Pagla Deewana song with Mohd. Rafi's voice. But i just listened to the full soundtrack on bollywood hungama and the Mohd. Rafi version of the song is not on the album! The version that they have on album is in Sonu Nigam's voice and it absolutely sucks! Sonu Nigam's voice is way to soft for this energetic song and could not pull it off! I'm super disappointed and confused as to why the Mohd. Rafi version is nowhere to be found. When in all of the promos that's what you hear! There was even an article out a few days ago in which the makers of the film said that they canned the idea of remixing the song because it didn't sound as good as the orignal. So why the hell did they decide to change their decision at the last minute? I'm supper pissed right now for this false advertisement!

P.S. the song Charha De Rang by Rahul Seth (the 4:22 one) is really good, i could of done without all of the other singers in the song. I wish they had just kept it soft and mellow with only his voice. Why was there the need to have this song in 4 versions?

Punjabi movie more popular then Hindi movie!

At Cineplex cinemas, in Surrey B.C., there are 8 shows for the Jimmy Shergill started 'Mel Karade Rabba' whereas Akshay Kumar's 'Khatta Meetha' only has 3 shows! And people say that Punjabi movies are unprofitable!

If Akshay Kuamr does a full fledged Punjabi movie he could probably have the biggest opening/hit of his career!

Premnath's Kiss!

Found another gem on Ebay today! Seller, onestcdotnet has listed a picture of Premnath and Kamini Kaushal kissing. It was taken on the sets of 'Raja Kaka' whici was released in 1974. I searched this movie in Google and an article came up that said that the kissing scene was between Nadira and Premnath, whereas the seller says it was between Premnath and Kamini Kashaul. There is writing on the back of the picture which is a little hard to read, it says Kamini's name on it but I'm not sure if it's her in the picture. I haven't seen this movie, has anybody else?

Sadhana Dead?

I was reading an article o n heroines who lead a lonely life and in it, it says that Sadhana (the actress from the 60's, her movies include Hum Dono, Mera Saaya and so on) died in 2004 at the age 75. I always assumed that she was alive and well. I have never read this anywhere else, it doesn't even say it on Wikipedia. So if anyone knows for sure pls. do tell!

The Revealing, Ranuchy and Downright Crazy 70's

So yesterday I was on EBay and was looking at the magazines posted by auctionz_unlimted and found some really interesting things that I wanted to share with you guys. So here they are:

First and foremost is a picture of Rakkhee and an unknown actress in a weird and lesbianish hug. I don't know if this pic was supposed to come off like this or it just happened because it was taken mid-hug. In any case its quite out there.

Here are two pictures which I believe where taken on the sets of Do Shikari a.k.a. Anjana Safar. Everyone has probably heard of how Biswajeet came up behind Rekha and kissed her unexpectedly and caught it on film and then put in the film. Later when the film was released this particular scene got chopped from the movie but somehow it made to the cover of Life magazine (never seen it). Rekha always said that she had know idea what had happened and she wasn't on board for it. But in these two pictures you can clearly see that she was part of it, in bottom pic it looks like she is sticking her tongue out! These pictures totally blow Rekha's story out of the water. If anybody has any other info pls. do tell!

Here is an unknown actress named Meena Rai (was in a few Punjabi films), in nothing but her underwear! People get so worked up when this happens now and this happened back in the 70's!

Can someone tell me what Sanjay Khan is wearing here? It seems like he's wearing his wife's delicate vest thing and speedo's. Not the kind of attire one would wear for a magazine shoot especially when there no where near water!

I'm really shocked by the two beginning pictures here! Because I did not know that Neetu had revealed so much in the beginning, quite shocking! In the first picture looks as if it came straight ou of Playboy.

This picture is of vamp Komilla Wirk, it amazes me because her boob is just hanging out i the open, like its no problem. I would love to be on the sets of such photo shoots just to see how the photographer would coax the women into taking off there clothes.

Is Dharmendra kissing Rekha!

Another super rare treat!

In the next day or two I will be post something that has only been heard of but not seen. Before it was the rare scan of Madubala from the magazine Theatre Arts 1952 but this time around it's something even older! It is Begam Para's 1951 scan from Life. She is not on the cover though, contrary to what as been written on the Internet. So everyone hold on for this rare delight!

More Records!

Got some more lps, so here they are:
  1. Andaz
  2. Amne Samne - Gate fold cover with a really cool picture of Mithun inside smoking.
  3. Carvan
  4. Charanjit Singh's Instrumental Songs
  5. Dada - Has two awesome songs on this one "Dil Ke Tukde Tukde" and "Gaddi Jandi Aaye"
  6. Dafaa 302 - Ok album with nothing much to offer besides the one song "Aap Kya Lenge"
  7. Darling Darling - The songs on the cover and LP don't match, on the LP they are in a different order from the one listed on the cover and on a cover they forgot to write down one of the songs.
  8. Deewaangee - Don't like this album, plan to sell it.
  9. Des Pardes - Don't like this album either, none of the songs do it for me.
  10. Dhongee - Love the cover, passed up on it the first time and then went back to switch it with another record and really glad I did, cuz It has some cool song s in it. My favorite is "One Two Three"
  11. Dil Aur Deewaar - very risque picture on this cover its of a African woman that is nude from the waist up with Prem Chopra standing in front of it.
  12. Do Raaste - I was surprised when I put this one on because on the vinyl the music is overpowered by the vocals. And in the movie I don't remember it being like that.
  13. Duniya Meri Jeb Mein - Good record to listen to a few times.
  14. Dushmun - Way to much dialogue in this LP, it has only four songs that aren't quite long so they use the dialogue has filler, its really annoying cuz it takes sooo long to get to the actual song.
  15. Film Hits 1974 - If anyone gets there hands on this one they shouldn't let it go cuz the pictures on this are too good to pass up. This album has very vibrant pictures on it which are very rare and unseen.
  16. Ganwaar - Got really cheap so I cant complain about it.
  17. Khandaan - Only like one song the rest are too slow for me.
  18. Parchiyiaan - Probably haven't heard this one but its really good, I got it for the cover alone (no pic in collage) which is a bright hot pink and the songs are good too. This was the first album in which R.D. Burman did the music for a full Punjabi song.
  19. Parvarish - Really cool sleeve in this one which is more like two posters because its two sheets of paper with pictures on both sides, so four pictures in total.
  20. Purab Aur Pachchim - the single one but I so badly want the double one!
  21. Pyar Hi Pyar - Pakistani pressing
  22. Rafoo Chakkar - Malaysian pressing
  23. Sawan Badon - Covers in really bad condition for this one, its from India.
  24. Sweeet Melodies - This one was a let down, I thought it would have some cool funky tracks but instead it had very slow sad types of songs.
  25. Teesri Manzil - Awesome score, but then again everyone already knew that.
